Squad Wall will work with most HDMI capture devices, however there are quite a few different features supported by various units. The price range of capture devices varies greatly between products as well. Squad Wall has been optimized to allow low to mid-ranged priced capture cards to still provide a great user experience. There are other higher end capture cards that should work well with Squad Wall as well, however the following list includes low to mid-ranged priced devices

You can use the following capture devices using Squad Wall software on your own PC, or with any of the Squad Wall Media center appliances to add additional inputs.

HDMI Capture 30 FPS

There are various capture cards similar to this entry level capture device. They support 30 FPS processing which is generally fine for watching videos. You can game on these, however you will get more responsiveness for gaming with some other capture devices. Since this product is a little wider, you may not be able to plug multiple capture devices into USB ports that are side by side unless you also get a small USB extension cable.

HDMI Capture 30 FPS with Passthrough

This line of Mirabox HDMI capture devices supports content at 30 FPS, however it also includes a pass through port that allows you to watch output on another display. This device also includes a separate USB cable allowing for multiple devices to more easily fit in USB ports that are side by side. In our performance testing we found this line of capture devices to process faster than the low end capture devices, making them more suitable for gaming.
